Dermal fillers can make a difference to a person’s appearance, giving them a fresher look.
As we age, the natural collagen and elastin in the skin lessens, as cells lose their ability to produce more of their youthful component. The skin becomes dryer, thinner and less able to fix itself. When we are born, we have plentiful amounts of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in our body, but as we get older this store of HA diminishes, leaving the skin less well supported, and so lines and wrinkles develop. By lifting and smoothing targeted folds and wrinkles by adding subtle volume, dermal fillers can make a difference to a person’s appearance, giving them a fresher look.

Dermal Fillers treatment involves injecting a medically developed solution under the skin with a fine needle or cannula to enhance facial features and plump and fill lines, grooves or sunken areas.
Dermal Fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a type of sugar that naturally occurs in our skin to help repair damaged tissue. Its normal liquid state is transformed into a gel injection to help plump out troublesome lines and bind with collagen, allowing nutrients to flow easily to the skin.
Dermal Fillers are used to treat a range of skin concerns, including lack of volume and shallow to deep wrinkles and folds, such as smile, marionette and lipstick lines and those on the corners of the mouth, chin, neck, décolletage and hands.
Why choose KLNIK?
Administered correctly by Dr Rosh, they can subtly smooth, soften, contour and tone the skin; restore youthful plumpness, enhance and define your features. Depending on the area being treated we may use a needle or a cannula to place the product under the skin. Injection sites will be gently massaged to promote even integration of the product into the tissue, with treatments usually taking around 30 minutes to complete.
Facial fillers can be used on a wide range of patients, and are primarily used for skin rejuvenation and the reduction of lines and wrinkles. Other suitable candidates are those seeking to add structure and volume to the face. At KLNIK we see a variety of patients who have lost volume in their face due to living a very active, high impact lifestyle. Fillers help to restore the volume loss that naturally begins to occur when we reach our late thirties, and in turn gives a fresher, brighter appearance.
The results should be subtle, leaving your friends and family believing that we are simply looking our best and great for our years. Treatment lasts between 6-12 months but, naturally, towards the end of this period the effects begin to gradually soften, so there is no dramatic change. When the effects begin to soften, we aim to ‘top up’ the treatment.
Fillers by Dr Rosh
The potential side effects of fillers are far greater than those from anti-wrinkle injections so it is very important to know not only which product you are having, but also who is injecting it. Many patients arriving for a consultation will visit KLNIK and point to a specific line that they don’t like. Our full consultation with Dr Rosh will not just look at treating this specific line, but will look beyond it to how the face looks as a whole, since treating an individual line could make the patient look unnatural. Sometimes patients will say that people tell them they look sad, tired or grumpy when this isn’t really the case. In these instances, it’s usually not a single line that is causing this impression but multiple factors and Dr Rosh will discuss treatment options with you. It is really key that you feel safe and reassured, your consultation with Dr Rosh will form a partnership, where you can speak freely about what concerns you, as this will allow for a full understanding of your hopes and desired outcomes. The new revolutionary ‘tear trough treatment’ can completely transform the face of a patient from tired and sunken to looking bright, refreshed and awake.
The treatment works on the depressions that run from the nose and around the under-eye area which becomes more noticeable as the skin sags and becomes thinner with age. As we age, fat can accumulate under the eyes which then creates what is commonly known as “eye bags”. While the surgical removal of eye bags gets rid of the fatty tissue, it doesn’t conceal the dark circles. The tear trough dermal filler treatment will not only improve the depression, it will also help to thicken the skin resulting in the reduction of the visible dark blood vessel colour. The treatment therefore benefits in the correction of the dark circles or panda eyes as well as the depression (tear trough) and eye bags. Dr Rosh will perform the treatment with his signature technique, achieving incredible results.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are a soft injectable gel consisting of stabilized, non-animal hyaluronic acid. The gel is tissue-friendly and closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the body. It is long-lasting but not permanent. Dermal filler treatments are widely used in medical aesthetics to add volume, plump up and reduce the appearance of line and folds.
At KLNIK we use Belotero, a dermal filler made from hyaluronic acid. This acid is found naturally within your skin, but it diminishes as you age. Because hyaluronic acid is found naturally within your skin, it is safe and effective at adding volume and smoothing out the skin’s surface. Once injected, Belotero instantly binds with the water within your dermis and helps fill increases, lines, and wrinkles. The changes to your face are immediately apparent.
Belotero is an all-encompassing filler that treats deep creases just as effectively as it does small lines. As a result, it is completely effective on nasolabial folds, the lines that travel from the side of the nose to the edge of the mouth. It also works on finer lines like those you find above the lips. Finally, Belotero also proves beneficial in helping fill in the hollows that occur under the eyes in the area known as the tear troughs.
While Belotero does contain hyaluronic acid, it is different to its counterparts. The main benefit is that the mixture used in Belotero is unique. While some fillers create a puffy or lumpy look, Belotero helps to avoid this. In addition, some fillers create a bluish tinge because of the Tyndall effect in areas with thin skin, Belotero doesn’t.
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule that occurs naturally in the human body and is central to regulating cell growth and renewal. Hyaluronic acid has impact on number of functions in the body, some of which are to bind water, lubricate the movable parts of the body such as muscles and joints and to maintain the elasticity of the skin.
How do dermal filler treatments work?
Dermal Fillers are biodegradable gels which are injected into the skin in order to provide volume and hydration, smoothing out lines and wrinkles for a more youthful appearance.
What are the benefits of dermal filler treatments?
Dermal filler injections provide an effective way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, smooth the skin and give a more youthful appearance. The result of a single treatment can be seen instantly and can last for around 6 to 12 months. Dermal filler injections can give natural looking results that do not affect facial expression. As your face changes over time, dermal fillers allow you to control you looks subtly as you age.
Are dermal filler treatments safe?
Everybody recalls the tragic results shown by Leslie Ash in early 2000, who received lip filler injections. The product used in her case was an injection of liquid silicone. This has no relationship at all to dermal fillers used today in aesthetic procedures. There are a few issues and problems associated with hyaluronic acid fillers but these are in general very rare. These issues should be discussed with your aesthetic practitioner to ensure you know he or she is properly qualified and that you yourself won’t be added to a list of unsuccessful treatments and remain in safe hands.
Which areas can be treated?
Dermal filler treatments are used to smooth away facial lines and wrinkles, create fuller lips and shape facial contours, such as cheeks and chin, and revitalise the skin. The most common areas treated are: - Nasolabial folds (lines between the nose and corner of the mouth) - Marionette lines (from the corner of the mouth downwards) - Lips (Enhance the shape, definition and volume of lips)
Which Dermal Filler is right for me?
Dermal fillers come in varying thicknesses and the dermal filler used will depend on the area being treated, and the amount needed to achieve a natural result. For example, dermal fillers used for mid-face volume restoration are far thicker than dermal fillers used for fine creases in the skin. Thicker dermal fillers are also injected deeper than thinner ones.
At KLNIK we use the award winning Belotero range by Merz Aesthetics. Dr Rosh is an influential key opinion leader (KOL) for Merz, teaching aesthetic methods & techniques across the UK and internationally.
What will happen during my dermal filler treatment?
PRIOR TO A DERMAL FILLERS TREATMENT
Prior to your dermal filler treatment, a mild anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area for your comfort. Some of our fillers contain Lidocaine and do not require an additional anaesthetic prior to treatment - please tell your Doctor if you would still like a mild anaesthetic cream. The dermal filler is then injected into the skin beneath the wrinkle with a very fine needle & cannula. Dr Rosh may suggest that you have a small injection to numb the area prior to the filler injections.
Instructions following a Dermal Filler treatment?
A dermal fillers treatment can be very quick and effective and have a minimal impact on your time. It takes 20-40 minutes depending on the number of lines and wrinkles treated. Make-up can be applied immediately after a dermal filler treatment and you can go straight back to your daily routine. It is common to have some redness and swelling following the treatment, although this usually resolves after a few hours and the results can be seen instantly.
How long will the effects of dermal fillers last?
The results of dermal filler injections are temporary and can last anywhere from 3 months to a year. Many clients choose to undergo regular treatments in order to maintain their rejuvanated appearance.
Does dermal filler treatment need pain relief?
Some clients may experience the treatment as a mild discomfort. The lips are extremely sensitive and as such cause most discomfort. Ranges of dermal fillers containing local anaesthetic are available which ease any discomfort. KLNIK uses Merz products, which contain Lidocaine.
We are able to use local anaesthetic creams which are applied 30 minutes or so prior to treatment, which will ease any discomfort.
Are there any risks with dermal fillers?
Product related reactions are rare. There are some injection related reactions which may occur after any injection including redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising or tenderness at the injection site. After lip enhancement, some swelling is likely for a short period, however due to Dr Rosh’s technique using a cannula rather directly injecting, the swelling is significantly reduced.
What areas of the face can dermal fillers be used on?
Dermal fillers can be used on most areas on the face where lines and wrinkles tend to appear, including cheeks, lips, smile lines and around the eyes.
Are dermal fillers painful?
A topical anaesthetic will be applied to the treatment area prior to the injection of dermal fillers, which will reduce the amount of discomfort felt during the procedure. The dermal filler process uses a very fine needle and takes a matter of minutes to complete.
How soon will I see results after a dermal filler treatment?
You should be able to see results immediately after a dermal filler treatment, and the results will continue to become more noticable over the following weeks.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for my dermal filler treatment?
As with most treatments it is best to limit your alcohol consumption the night before your dermal filler treatment. It would also be wise to avoid strenuous exercise on the day of the treatment as this can speed up blood flow causing additional bruising to occur.
